After the briefing on Friday afternoon or on Monday afternoon you will leave our harbor at "De Nauwe Greuns" in Leeuwarden, your first sail a little on the Van Harinxmakanaal, here you can get in touch on this wide canal with the boat.
The journey leads in southern direction, following the "Standing Mast Route" to Grou. After about 1.5 hours sailing you reach this convivial watersportvillage for the first night.
If you have booked a practice training and come back at 17.00 / 17.30 clock again in our base, the first section of the trip to Grou with round about one and a half hour driving time is easy to realize.

Simmerskip 1200 AK, PASSAAT, arrival at Grou

The next day you will go by the Prinses - Margriet - Kanaal, across the Sneeker Meer and through small waterways to Joure (Douwe Egberts coffee roasting). You can spend the night here in the well-kept marina close to the center.

About the Tjeukemeer the route leads southwards to Sloten, the smallest town of Friesland with about 900 inhabitants. You can also continue sailing on this day and go via Woudsend to reach Heeg, where you stay overnight in the center or in the marina. If you want to drive the longer trip (orange route) over Bolsward to Sneek the next day, we recommend Heeg as a place to stay.

Sneek is the destination for this day. The short trip leads via Osingahuizen and IJlst quite fast into this popular water sports place. The longer trip (orange route) leads over the Heeger Meer, Workum, Parrega and Bolsward to Sneek. Stay in Sneek in between the three bridges that must be passed through here, right in the center of town, shops, restaurants, everything is close by.
The next stage destination is Eernewoude, stay overnight in this small, convivial harbor or find a spot on a Marrekrite place in the great outdoors in this beautiful nature reserve "De Alde Feanen".

Simmerskip 1200 AK, PASSAAT, direction Joure

The next day we head north to the Boniface town of Dokkum (northernmost city in the Netherlands). You can stay here very well at the so-called "Bolwerk", below the windmills ...
On the last day of sailing you head south, through Birdaard and Leeuwarden back to our base, where you spend the last night of your trip.
